I just saw the announcement of Jim's death last night, and Emery and I are so very sad to hear the news. Emery played golf with him in Gouverneur in, I guess you might call it, "the old guys' league", (lol) many years ago now. I got to know Jim through Emery. Jim was an amazing person, so smart and did so much. He had great sense of humor and was a great storyteller. He helped our Edwards Library with donations. We are so grateful for that. He was proud of where he came from and proud of his incredible accomplishments, but not given to hubris. We called him from time to time. We had not called in a while, and I deeply regret that. I know that he enjoyed life and worked hard, and we will miss him. To his Family: We send prayers for you as you traverse this painful shock to your hearts. Losing a Parent hurts.
