MACOMB- Charlotte K. McConnell, age 95, of Macomb, passed away on November 20, 2023 at home under the care of her family and hospice.
Her Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the Macomb Wesleyan Church with Rev. Gloria Strong officiating. Arrangements are with French Funeral Home in Gouverneur. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
Charlotte was born on June 9, 1928 in Munich, Germany to the late Adolf and Katharina (Rickauer) Schober. She graduated from school in Pestalozi, Germany. Charlotte came to America in January of 1951 and received her citizenship on May 20, 1953, which she was very proud of. She married Harold McConnell on July 17, 1982 in Clayton, NY. Charlotte was a sales clerk at Zayre Department Store. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and reading.
Surviving is her husband, Harold of Macomb; a daughter and her husband, Monica and Ron Lozier of Finley, OH; three step daughters and their spouses, Brenda Rich of Brasie Corners, Susan and Patrick Crabtree of Hampton, VA and Lisa and Allen Burgonne of Dickenson Center, NY; her adopted family member, Debbie Harmer; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Charlotte is predeceased by her sister, Anna Zellner.
Donations may be made in Charlotte's memory to the Macomb Wesleyan Church Building Fund.
