Obituary of Charles C. Silsby

EDWARDS- Charles C. Silsby, age 68, of Edwards, NY passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Canton Potsdam Hospital surrounded by his family. There will be calling hours for Charles on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at French Funeral Home in Edwards. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com. Charles was born on October 15, 1955 in Edwards, NY to Franklin and Agnes (Whitney) Silsby. He attended Clifton-Fine Central School. A marriage to Susan Tebo ended in divorce. Charles worked as a foreman for several construction companies over the years and worked as a heavy equipment operator for several companies out West until he became disabled. Charles loved the outdoors. He loved going on walks, enjoyed taking care of horses and he liked drawing. Surviving is his mother, Agnes Silsby; a son Jacob Silsby; two daughters, Heather and James Peters and Shaneen Silsby; four brothers, Michael, Paul, Patrick and Timothy Silsby; a sister, Lori Silsby; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Charles is predeceased by his father, Franklin and three brothers, Lonnie, Franklin Jr. and Mark Silsby.
