GOUVERNEUR – Linda M. Thomas, age 74, of Gouverneur, passed away on February 7, 2024 in Watertown. There will be no calling hours or funeral. Arrangements are with French Funeral Home in Gouverneur. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
Linda was born on October 31, 1949 in Gouverneur to the late Raymond and Lula Ann (Kio) Cyrus. She attended school in Gouverneur. She married Michael Thomas on July 4, 1988. Marriages to Mike Travis, Orin "Bub" Durham and Donnie Denton ended in divorce.
Linda enjoyed crocheting, working on crafts, and camping.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Thomas, and his family, six children, Flora Cyrus, David Travis, Orin "Bimbo" Durham, Shannon Way, Christian Denton, and Jonas Denton, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, Carolyn Peck, Richard "Dick" Cyrus, Albert Cyrus, Patricia Shoen, Donna Thomas, and Tammy Cyrus.
Linda is predeceased by her parents, a daughter, Elizabeth Durham, a grandson, Skyler Way, and siblings, Donald Cyrus, Raymond "Junior" Cyrus, and Lisa Cyrus.
Because Linda loved her dogs, donations in her memory may be made to Friends 4 Pound Paws, 55 Owl Road, Gouverneur NY 13642 or your local S.P.C.A.
