Obituary of Dorine Tulley

PLEASANT LAKE- Dorine A. (Hooper) Tulley, age 84, of Pleasant Lake in the Town of Macomb, NY passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024 in Port Orange, FL. There will be calling hours for Dorine on Thursday, May 9, 2024 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at French Funeral Home in Gouverneur. Her funeral service will be on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Lake Cemetery in Macomb. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com. Dorine was born on August 7, 1939 in Gouverneur, NY to the late Welton and Beulah (Taylor) Hooper. She graduated from Gouverneur Central School in 1958 and then went on to Cosmetology School. Dorine worked as a hairdresser and had her own beauty shop in Florida. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Gouverneur Elks Lodge, Pleasant Lake Association where she served as the Secretary, and the Macomb Historical Association. She enjoyed bowling, reading, knitting, traveling and being at Pleasant Lake. Surviving is a son, Richard and Deborah Tulley; two daughters, Beverly and Alan Hall and Diana Tulley and her fiancé, Arne Johnson; a sister, Marlene Moore; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Dorine is predeceased by a brother, Edmond Hooper, her longtime companion, John Sitts, and daughter-in-law, Carole Tulley.
