TALCVILLE - Bonnie L. Drew, age 63, of Talcville, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital with her family by her side.
There will be no funeral service. Arrangements are with French Funeral Home, Edwards. Condolences may be made online at www.frenchfuneralhome.com.
Bonnie was born on May 8, 1950 in Gouverneur to the late Glen and Thelma (Monroe) Bressette. She grew up in Talcville and attended the Edwards Central School.
She married Gordon J. Drew on February 24, 1978. The couple lived in Tupper Lake until moving to the Edwards area in 1996. A previous marriage to Gary Lutz ended in divorce.
Bonnie retired as a cleaner for the Edwards Knox Central School. She had previously owned and operated the Golden Glow Tavern, was a cleaner for Sun Mount DDSO in Tupper Lake, and was a former kitchen supervisor for Mercy Health Care Center, also in Tupper Lake.
Bonnie enjoyed going to garage sales. She also liked to go camping on the St. Lawrence River, spending time with her family, and watching the birds.
Her survivors include her husband, Gordon of Talcville; two sons and their wives, Gary A. and Tonya Lutz of Star Lake, David and Amber Drew of Edwards; a brother, Clay and Cindy Bressette of Talcville; and four sisters, Beatrice Bressette of Heuvelton, Judy and Dale Lausch of Hudson, WY, Adair and Clarence O'Shea of Degrasse, and Jessie and Jeff Eichinger of Albuquerque, NM. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Gary T. and Logan Lutz and Kadynce and Kendyll Drew; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bonnie is predeceased by her parents; a brother, Ernest Bressette; and a niece, Billie Jo Norman.
