BLACK LAKE- Linda A. Fishel, age 58, of Black Lake, NY passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
There will be calling hours for Linda on Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Gouverneur Community Center. Her funeral service will be on Friday, July 12th at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Center. Arrangements are with French Funeral Home, Gouverneur. Linda was born on November 5, 1965 in Gouverneur, NY to the late Delbert J. and Joyce C. (Boshane) Wilson. She graduated from Gouverneur Central School in 1983. On September 22, 1990, she married Randy Fishel at the Kendrew Corner Church.
Linda worked as a Financial Analyst and was also the former head of the IT Department at Gouverneur Hospital for 39 years. Family was very important to her. She loved boating, fishing and outdoor activities, but her biggest pride and joy is her grandson, Rhett.
Surviving is her husband, Randy; a daughter and son-in-law, Erica and Drew Hilborne; a grandson, Rhett Hilborne; two brothers, Allen and Linda Wilson and Mark Wilson; three sisters, Kathy and Cliff Gill, Robin Ruiz and Penny and Dale Fishel; and several nieces and nephews.
