Obituary of Ellen B. Lashua

EDWARDS- Ellen B. Lashua, age 86, of Edwards, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at E.J. Noble Hospital in Gouverneur. Ellen was born on October 11, 1927 in Russell, NY to the late Charles and Gertrude (Cook) Law. She attended school in Russell and Edwards. Ellen married Edward W. Lashua on February 23, 1945 at the Gouverneur Methodist Church with Rev. Ward Crawford officiating. Edward passed away on August 18, 1986. Ellen worked in the cafeteria at Edwards Central School for 19 years retiring in 1983. She has lived in Edwards most of her life. Surviving are four sons David E. of Dexter, Elmer R. and Kathy of Harrisville, Larry G. and Linda of Edwards and Edward J. and Susan of Watertown; three daughters Carol A and Gary Wade of Eden, NC, Joanne M. and Thomas Sawyer of Edwards and Sue and Bob Manzione of Gouverneur and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ellen is predeceased by a daughter, Victoria I. Zeller and two brothers, Maylon F. Law and Gerald Law and 2 grandchildren. Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 21st at French Funeral Home, Edwards. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 22nd at the Funeral Home.
