Some of Joe's fondest memories were of working as a farm hand. He worked at Sunnyside Dairy, the family business in Edwards, NY during his youth. Then, went to work for local dairy farmer Phil Millard. After moving to Arizona, he worked on a mega dairy farm. Then, moving back to NY to work on other farms. He also worked in many other trades over the years and became a master carpenter.
He lived in Edwards until his junior year where the family moved to Boulder, CO. From there he lived in multiple states exploring work opportunities, enjoying his life, and having adventures. He settled back to Edwards in his 30's and has lived in the area ever since on Maple Ave.
Joe was a man who loved good company, enjoyed woodworking, and would lend a hand to those in need. An avid bowler for most of his life and a football player in his younger days. He loved having gardens, and trying to live off the land. He also loved being outdoors, in the woods, antiquing, and exploring new places. A crowning achievement of his life was turning his late best friend's camp into a house on Trout Lake. A place where he loved to be.
He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and relatives across the U.S.
