GOUVERNEUR- Sherry Lynne Parker, age 56, of Brasie Corners, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse.
Sherry was cremated and her burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with French Funeral Home, Gouverneur. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
Sherry was born on May 1, 1959 in Gouverneur to Robert M. and Sandra (Tulley) Petrie. She attended Gouverneur Central School. Sherry married Sam Parker on November 8, 1976 at her parents' home in DePeyster. She worked various jobs, but most recently was employed at United Helpers Nursing Home in Ogdensburg as a nurse's assistant. Her pride and joy was taking care of her grandchildren.
Surviving is her husband, Sam of Brasie Corners; her parents, Robert and Sandra Petrie of Brasie Corners; three sons, Sam Parker Jr. of Morristown and twins, James and Scott Parker both of Brasie Corners; five grandchildren, Brandon, Dylan, Draven, Nichole and Paige Parker; three brothers, William Petrie Sr. and Lonny Petrie, both of Brasie Corners and Robert Petrie Jr.; two sisters, Robyne Petrie-Platt of Gouverneur and Candace Tyler of Heuvelton.
Sherry is predeceased by a brother, James Petrie.
