Obituary of Dorothy M. Robinson

GOUVERNEUR – Dorothy M. Robinson, age 85, formerly of Gouverneur, passed away on March 26, 2016 in Troy, OH, where she has lived for many years. There will be a graveside service in the East Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur, on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Beth Benham officiating. Dorothy was born on November 16, 1930 in Gouverneur, NY to the late Prentice and Bertha (Darrow) Storie. She attended Gouverneur Central School. She lived in Gouverneur, NY moving to Ohio in 1950. She was a nurse assistant for the Midwest Nursing Concepts in Troy, OH and had worked part time at the Covington Nursing Home in the dietary department for four years. Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Troy, OH; President of the Sunday School Class; a member of the Operation Compassion Visitations and Ladies Care Group and she was a former member of the Richville Baptist Church. Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and April Besaw; three granddaughters, Brooke, Heidi and Tiffany; a sister, Louise Coffey; a brother, Milton Storie and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy is predeceased by her parents; a brother, Donald Storie and a daughter. Donations may be made in Dorothy's memory to the First Baptist Church, 53 S. Norwich Rd., Troy, OH 45373.
