Obituary of Brennan Devon Stevens

GOUVERNEUR- Brennan Devon Stevens, age 17, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 14, 2016 in a motor vehicle accident. There will be calling hours for Brennan on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at French Funeral Home Inc. in Gouverneur. His funeral service will be on Wednesday, October 19th at 1:00 p.m. at the Gouverneur United Methodist Church with Rev. Beth Quick officiating. Burial will follow at East Riverside Cemetery in Gouverneur. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com. Brennan was born on June 14, 1999 in Watertown, NY to Gordon and Karen (Gordon) Stevens. He was currently a senior at Gouverneur Central School. Brennan enjoyed fishing, hunting, family game nights, playing with his nieces and nephews and playing softball with the adults. He loved football and track. He was a section 10 champion for indoor and outdoor track, where he excelled in the triple jump. Surviving are his parents, Gordon "Rufus" and Karen Stevens; three sisters, Amber and Sean Barr, Britney and Kristopher Jackson and Tia Stevens and her companion, Dustin Campbell; a brother, Gordon Stevens and his companion, Kristen McKee; his paternal grandmother, Betty Stevens; maternal grandfather, Ivan Gordon and his companion Ilene Cole; maternal grandmother, Lillian "Elaine" Lewis and her companion Ed Lancto; Brennan's girlfriend, Carolina Whitney and three nephews, Ethan, Kaleb and Conner and nieces, Sadie, Alexa, Aaralyan and Ariella and another niece, Devon is on the way. Brennan is predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Gordon Stevens; his step grandfather, Orville Lewis and a cousin Yorr Marchione.
