Obituary of Hippie Kate McIntosh

GOUVERNEUR – Hippie Kate McIntosh passed away on June 6, 2017 surrounded by her loving family, her adoring husband, and under hospice care, she was 34. Calling hours will be held at French Funeral Home, Gouverneur, on June 14th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Her memorial service will be on June 15th at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Following the memorial service there will be a Celebration of Life at the local VFW. Hippie Kate was born on April 15, 1983 in Brockport, NY to Dennis James and Suzanne Lynn (Booth) Brozic. She went to the Spencerport High School and earned her G.E.D. Kate spent many years in Las Vegas, NV and in Rochester, NY. Kate married Robert George McIntosh on November 21, 2015, he proposed shortly after the diagnosis on a beautiful sunny day. Hippie Kate was a free spirit who enjoyed life fully. She enjoyed fishing, saving turtles, loving her dogs, camping, letting her friends practice their tattooing skills on her, and collecting BIC lighters. She enjoyed laughing most of all and being outside enjoying the sunshine. She was barefoot most days, but kept her stylish combat boots and flip flops close by. Her life was full, even though it was short. Some say she was too young to die, but others knew she was, as most good people are, not meant to stay long. She was a crazy b*tch and we loved her for it. She is survived by her parents, Dennis and Suzanne Brozic of Angelica, NY; her husband, Robert McIntosh of Gouverneur, NY; her sister, Meagan Brozic of Rochester, NY; a niece, Lala; 5 cousins; her McIntosh family, Kathy, Tara, Eliza, and Marty; and her beloved dogs, Marshmallow and Ceda Ray of Sunshine. She was predeceased by her loving dogs, Daisy Duke, Chopper, and Congo; their ashes are together now, forever. Donations in memory of Kate may be made to your local animal shelter.
