MASSENA – Helena "Pat" B. Town, age 96, of Massena, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the Massena Memorial Hospital.
There will be a graveside service in the Fairview Cemetery in Edwards on Monday, July 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Lay Pastor Lori Hickey officiating. Arrangements are with French Funeral Home in Edwards. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
Pat was born on October 29, 1920 in Edwards to the late John and Bertha (Aldridge) Webb. She attended the Edwards School and married Harold S. Town on January 14, 1942 at the Gouverneur Methodist Parsonage with Rev. Harold Thomas officiating. The couple moved to Massena in 1946. Mr. Town passed away on September 8, 2007.
Pat was a housekeeper for Roy and Helena Thompson for many years. She was a lifetime knitter, enjoyed her flower garden, and was a member of the Massena Methodist Church.
Mrs. Town is survived by her many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Harold; an infant son, Robert Lee Town; brothers and sister-in-law's, Ray and Esther and Lee and Lilly Webb; and sisters, Renice MacCue and Phyna Skeldon.
