I am the mother of Karen's baby. About a month before her birthday in 1988, Karen said I'd have the baby on her birthday. Sure enough I had my third son (2 weeks late, I must add) at 10:44 pm on her birthday. She predicted his birth and consequently took ownership of him.
Karen was such a sweetheart. I will remember her and her spunky personality. I have many fond memories of her that I will cherish forever. Rest in Peace Karen. <3
My deepest sympathy to everyone who knew and loved Karen. I only had the pleasure of working with her for a few short months- but I thought of her often. You could not have a bad day if Karen was around.
Please accept my sincere condolences. Karen was very special to me. I was stuck in an elevator at work one day. I was very anxious but Karen stayed outside the elevator and talked to me. She kept me calm and was very reassuring. I will never forget that day or the many times she greeted me by saying “hey Gramma!”
Karen was truly an amazing woman and I am blessed to have had the opportunity to have known and worked with her for the 11 years that I was with United Helpers. She will be missed by so many but never forgotten! Love you Mama! Fly High!
