STAR LAKE - Floyd E. Peabody, age 75, of Star Lake, passed away at Crouse-Irving Hospital in Syracuse on Saturday, January 19, 2013.

Floyd was born on April 11, 1937 in Edwards to the late Howard and Goldie (Zeller) Peabody. He attended the Knox Memorial High School in Russell and married Kathryn LaPlante on October 18, 1958.
Mr. Peabody worked for the Newton Falls Paper Mill for 33 years, retiring as a paper inspector.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; two daughters, Kelley and Ben of Potsdam, Julie and Jim of Kansas; two sons, Greg and Mabel of Oswegatchie, Steve of Pitcairn; a brother, Allan and Charlotte of Clare; and a sister, Frieda and George of Schenectady. Floyd is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Warren and Harold.
