FINE – Charlotte R. Dashner Whitney, 70, passed away at Oswego Hospital on Sunday, October 14, 2018. She is married to the love of her life, Duane Keyes Whitney, who passed December 5, 1989. She is survived by three children; Duane A. Whitney and his fiancé Patti Cousino of Gouverneur, William Whitney and his wife Paula Whitney of Hailesboro, and Janet McIntosh and her husband Richard McIntosh Sr. Charlotte loved and enjoyed seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Charlotte is also survived by brothers and sisters, Roger Dashner, Patricia Towne, Howard Dashner, Libby Dashner, Joseph Dashner and Stella Rumble. She is predeceased by brothers Merton Dashner, Paul Dashner, Richard Dashner, and her granddaughter, Caitlin Whitney. Calling hours will be held at French Funeral Home in Gouverneur on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. immediately followed by her funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery in Fine. Donations in memory of Charlotte may be made to a Down's Syndrome Association of your choice. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
