Linda was who took care of me, but it was no simple babysitting job, because she took care of seven similarly aged girls at our small house every day. She was like family to us, and after tolerating our fighting (and that is a huge understatement), she never saw us as bad, never ever lost her patience, took breaks only to read her Bible, and cared about how we were doing as adults, too. In my mind today, she is the utmost example of kindness. Her musical ability amazed me as a child, and she will always be my favorite fiddler. I love you, Linda! You are the McCarthy family hero!
