CANTON- Sharon L. Mackin, age 65, of Canton, NY, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, March 2, 2019.
Sharon was born on October 6, 1953 in South Russell, NY to the late Franklin and Beulah (VanHouse) Mackin. She graduated from Knox Memorial Central School in 1971.
Sharon worked for the Office of the Ageing in St. Lawrence County for many years, retiring in 2004. She enjoyed doing puzzles, reading, playing on her computer and she loved her cats.
Surviving is a brother, Harold Mackin of South Russell; four sisters, Gloria Didas of Kansas, Gail Daniels of Star Lake, Carol Coller of Russell and Robin Bossert of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
Sharon is predeceased by a sister, June Clark and two nephews, Richard and Gary Mackin.
There will be no calling hours. The family will have a graveside service at a later date in the South Russell Cemetery. Arrangements are with French Funeral Home, Edwards. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
