Obituary of Gwendolyn Jones

STAR LAKE – Gwendolyn D. Jones, age 83, passed away on March 3, 2019 at the RiverLedge Rehabilitation Center in Ogdensburg. Her memorial service will be announced at a later date. Gwendolyn was born on November 13, 1935 in Hermon to that late George and Pauline (Crump) Rebar. She attended the school in Oswegatchie and Star Lake. Gwendolyn married Thomas Willard "Bill" Jones on June 5, 1954 at the Edwards Methodist Church with Rev. Kenneth Lord officiating. Mr. Jones passed away on June 22, 2006. Mrs. Jones worked in her younger years as a waitress for the Star Lake Hotel. She always had extra kids in her home, taking in anybody that needed it, and served as a neighborhood Mom. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and crafts. She had made clothing for her children and enjoyed her flower gardens. Her survivors include 7 children, Susan (Vernon) Bissonette, Thomas (Vicki White) Jones, George (Deborah) Jones, Michael (Jennifer) Jones, Sally (James Lamica) Northrup, Peter (Tina) Jones, and Amy Jones; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings, George Rebar, John Rebar, Ramona Breede, Reginald Rebar, David Rebar, and Maryann Rebar.
