I first met Andrea though her job as director of Clifton Community Library. Her enthusiasm and strength in the face of challenges were truly inspiring, and her love for her work and family shone in everything she did. It's so rare to meet a person with as much joy and courage as Andrea... I feel so lucky to have crossed her path, even for far too short a time.

Ande was an amazing kind hearted person who loved everyone, and always had a smile on her face, and no matter what she was always laughing.I loved hearing her tell me stories from back home and about her and her family,I will def. miss our chats Ande.Dakota still has the cancer bear that she gave him last time he saw her,she was always so proud of him. When Ande first got sick he made her a card and brought it to school to have kids sign for her,he loves Ande and Steve so much, and when he found out that Ande was gone he looked at me and patted his heart and said mommy she will always be in here.So as you see Ande was loved so much by our family and she will remain in our hearts forever.Ande has also touched everyone's life in different ways. There are so many memories of Ande i would like to share but i would be writing all night,so Ande you will be missed so much and always loved and thought of,and Steve you mean the world to us and we love you and you will always be family to us to.We are here for you if you ever need anything even if you just wanna talk, and my regards to the rest of Ande's family and friends.

I worked with Andrea at the New Bedford Public LIbrary, where her humor and steadiness were invaluable. She had some rough times, but I am glad that she had love and happiness at the end, and got to live in the beautiful Adirondacks. Rest in peace, Andi.

To tell someone about my sister would take most of this website and most of your day... She took me on my first vacation trip and I was hooked on travel ever since. She gave me the confidence to go to college and get a degree, saying that I could '...earn a bachelors, or a masters, or become 'Dr. Simmons.' " This was advice I took. I remember she moved back home when I was a kid and she would sing and dance to Broadway tunes like "Fiddler on the Roof", had a real talent for music, and brought me to my first show HMS Pinafore by Gilbert and Sullivan. She beat cancer three times... how many people can say that? She was relentless with her puns and her humor and would say things like "...the only time I raise my voice is if I stand on a chair." She made cranberry bread once and it was battleship gray, something I always teased her about. She also made this hamburger casserole that was really good; She offered to make it when I came home from boot camp, so I told her that "...you better make two, because one is for me and the other for everyone else!" She made two of 'em. She would brighten your day and then tell you the true meaning of aspects. I saw her blossom upon meeting my brother-in-law Steve and his children, and witnessed the joy she received by being a grandma. The world will be a sadder place without her. Miss ya already, sis! Love O

Andrea was one of the true "good people" I ever met. We went to Voke together & would see each other once in awhile at karioke after that. She always had a kind word & a smile for everyone. God truly must have needed an angel, because she was one in Life and will be missed by everyone she knew.

Ande,
Your spirit will forever live on. I remember the first typed words of rubyred53... Your smile could light a room and your laughter heard around the world. You forever are giggling!! I love you more than just a mother figure in my life but also for being THE BEST grandmother to my children. You always have been so proud of all of them and you had a special place for each and every one of All you granchildren. You are so precious to Gregory, he is a better person because of you. But again you have that effect on everyone you come in contact with. You will never be forgotten and your memories will live in us forever <3
