OSWEGATCHIE – Ilene A. Meek, age 90, formerly of Oswegatchie, passed away on June 23, 2019 under the care of Niagara Hospice.
There will be visitation held at French Family Funeral Home in Star Lake on Thursday, June 27, 2019 from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. followed by a graveside service in the Oswegatchie Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
Ilene was born on October 3, 1928 in Oswegatchie, NY. She was the daughter of the late Bernard and Cloy (Paro) Adams. Ilene was the Post Master for the Oswegatchie Post Office. She enjoyed quilting, baking, coloring, collecting cardinal figurines, working on word searches, and watching the Game Show Network. She was predeceased by her son, Douglas R. Meek on September 4, 1990.
Ilene is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert Meek; children Linda (Robert II) Flynn; grandchildren Robert Flynn, III and Courtney Flynn.
