Obituary of Corina "Corky" L. Kelley

OSWEGATCHIE – Corina "Corky" L. Kelley, age 71, of Oswegatchie, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2019 at home. Calling hours will be held at French Family Funeral Home in Star Lake on Friday, October 11, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Her funeral Mass will be held at St. Hubert's Catholic Church on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery in Fine. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com. Corina was born on October 4, 1948 in Gouverneur to the late Albert "Ab" and Inez (Baxter) Moote. She graduated from Clifton-Fine Central School in 1966 and married Leland James Kelley on May 27, 1967 at St. Michael's Church in Fine. Leland passed away on December 25, 2011. Corky worked for Community Bank in Star Lake for many years. She began as a teller and worked her way up to Branch Manager. She loved time spent with her family and enjoyed hunting and 4-wheeling. She is survived by a son, Scott and Wendy Kelley, daughter, Lisa Kelley and Patti LaDuke, daughter, Tonya and Michael Lamica, and 7 grandchildren, Andreu, Michael, Erin, Zack, Abbie, Emily, and Sean, and has a great-grandchild on the way. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Corky is predeceased by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Angela Kelley and sisters, Eunice Thivierge, Mary and Macey Moote. Donations in memory of Corky may be made to Whitetail Deer Wildlife Rehabilitation or Star Lake Rescue.
