Obituary of David Charles Pelno

OSWEGATCHIE – David Charles Pelno, age 61, of Oswegatchie, died on December 26, 2019 at home. There will be a Celebration of Life held in the spring. David was born on May 14, 1958 in Star Lake to the late Harry Joseph and Carol Ann (Stafford) Pelno. He attended the Clifton-Fine Central School and graduated from Massena High School. David served in the United States Navy as a boatswain's mate from 1976 until his honorable discharge in 1980. He then served for 3 years in the Army Reserves 478 Engineers Unit. David worked as a short order cook and gardener for Wawbeek Lodge in Saranac Lake. He was an avid home gardener who enjoyed talking about politics and was a true gentleman that had a heart of gold. He is survived by his siblings, Mary LaParr, Connie and Benjamin Watson, John Pelno and Tim and Sherrie Pelno. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. David is predeceased by his parents and an infant sister, Diane Pelno.
