A few years ago we needed to get rid of many years worth of my parents' accumulated household belongings. My daughter Mallori asked Jerry if he would assess the value of a lot of their old treasures. He willingly agreed and for "payment" picked out for himself a few antique items. He willingly accepted from our family old items as donations for the Historical Society. His quiet, gentle spirit with his sparkling blue eyes always impressed me. Isabel Norris of Lowville

Deepest sympathy to Jerry’s family. We grew up near each other in Edwards. Jerry was a studious person and I remember seeing him ride his bike around Trout Lake St area.

To all of Jerry's family,
He was a dear friend and a good neighbor and we enjoyed working with him on the Talcottville Cemetery board and providing him information for the Lewis County Historical Society. And it was always good to see him at Matthew's Place. Our condolences to all his family. RIP Jerry.

Dear Deanna and Jean and Perrin Family. Emery and I want to tell you how very sad we are to hear that Jerry has passed away. He was a man of great energy and love of preserving history and educating the community through that love. Loss of a sibling is something that both Emery and I have experienced, and we empathize with your sadness and pray for peace for you all as you work through this pain. Love, Andy and Emery

I always fondly remember working with Jerry on the Elisha and Mary Woodcock reburial. There is no way that we ever would have been able to do this without all the work Jerry put it. Jerry will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
