Velma was such a sweet, pleasant person. She always had a smile and a kind word. She and Ray were our neighbors on Rowley Street for many years, and we could always count on seeing them in church every Sunday. I'll always remember the last time I saw Velma in 2010 at Sunday morning services at the Methodist Church. It wouldn't have been church without Velma there!
My mom and dad don't have Internet, and they want Velma's family to know they are deeply saddened by Velma's passing. She was a cherished friend, and they miss her with all their hearts.

Got to know your Mom and you girls when I started working at the bank when you would come in with your egg money. Sees like so long ago now. I just so admired your Mom, she was a good friend, always cheerful and a great visitor. She will be missed. God bless you Velma, heaven awaits you will all your family and friends who are there to welcome you.
