We are sending our prayers and thoughts to all of Uncle Bill's family at this time and regret we won't be there to share happy memories and thoughts of him. I know Bernie thought the world of him and although I didn't share alot of time with him, I knew from the time we did share and all I heard about him that he was a very sweet person and special man. Please know we will be thinking of everyone and we hope that your treasured memories of happier times are of great comfort to you.
With our love & sympathy, Bernie and Joyce Cahill & Sons

We will sure miss you, Uncle Bill. We are all the better for having known you. You were a gentle giant among us - a genuine rock in the foundation of our American heritage. And always peaceful. As Teri and Annie have mentioned, I never heard a cross word from you - ever - my happy cousins all being the benefactors of your subdued and smiling demeanor. I have many fond memories of you from my frequent childhood visits to Fine and Trout Lake (best 'swimming hole' ever!). Thank you, you wonderful man, uncle, and friend! We will see you in the light!

I remember Uncle Bill as always happy and I never ,ever heard him raise his voice now with 8 sons that is quite a feat.He was always kind and loving and that is what I will remember the most. He took such good care of Aunt Barney when she was ill , anyone could easily see how much he loved her. You were quite a man Uncle Bill ,will miss you !

My grandfather was a great man. He was a hard worker who taught me a lot. I will cherish my summers spent helping him at camp. Never a great fisherman but always a great time. I wish all of my family the best at this time, miss you all and I am honored to be a "Rice"!

Bill was my mother's (Florence Rice Hall) 1st cousin. I knew Bill for several years and he was such a friendly and kind man, a man who was proud of his family. I visited him in the nursing home some time ago, and had a great chat. I am sorry for your loss, but I know that he is in a happier place and with your Mom, who he obviously loved very much. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I am so sorry for your loss.
