On Monday, February 26th Carthage hospital called with dire news and said to gather the family. A few hours later my mother-in-law was doing much better. The doctor, however, said her days were limited. Later that day Frances was sleeping, and my wife left the room for a bit. She awoke shortly afterward, and I said, "good morning, young lady". Her reply was a genuine, beautiful smile.
Of the 28 plus years that she was a part of my life, I think that will always be my finest memory.
