I was in Jerry's Cub Scout troop with his mother as Den Mother when I was 8-9. We made stained glass Christmas tree ornaments in his Mom's oven which my parents still hang their tree. We used to go sledding on that makeshift hill out back of his house. I still have the 80-or-so 1977 TOPPS baseball cards Jerry gave me when I asked if I could have a couple-- he was that sort of person. He used to work at Hegedorn's-- which is still open! I just found out he passed four years later. He was a great friend in my early days in Webster.
